I already covered the basic reasons for choosing the topic of helping people with disabilities or illnesses have a chance to hunt but I will cover them again and expand.
I chose to do my blog on hunting and helping people with disabilities to have a chance to hunt because one of my passions is the outdoors. I love to hunt all year round while enjoying the many perks to the sport. I thought maybe one day, that is if I ever have enough money, that I would like to own and manage a hunting ranch for all types of hunting including upland birds, waterfowl, and deer. My dream is to have this ranch be part of “Make a Wish Foundation” or something of that nature. I want my ranch to have accessible hunting to people with disabilities. From wheelchair accessible deer blinds to wheelchair accessible paths in fields in order bird hunt. I believe they deserve a chance to experience the same thrill and enjoyment from hunting that I get.
There are already a few types of these organizations up and running today. Some outdoor TV networks have shows that broadcast people with impairing illnesses or disabilities getting a chance of a lifetime to hunt and bag animal that never would have been possible without the money and special equipment of these organizations. I find these groups honorable and very appealing. I would love to work for or own one someday.
