Poet Tonight

I went to the extra credit poet tongiht that Professor Gallaher reccomended. Ill admit it was different from my usual routine. But I actually enjnoyed it, I have never sat and listened to poetry like that. I was confused alot haha but It was cool to see a different side of writing that I have never experienced.

I thought Alex Lemon was very interesteing and insightful. The way he described things grabbed everyone in the audience and forced them to imagine the things he was describing. His lastest book Happy embraced and covered all the struggles and hardships he went through with his Brain illnesses.

I think his experiences and success can relate to my blog especially dealing with his brain illness. He was able to keep a journal during his whole illness and show people the dark and depressed feelings such an illnesss can make you come eye to eye with. He definately is lucky to be alive. His attitude towards his whole career and his books was sort of unique, it was different but I am glad I went.
